Waterford Crystal Lucerne Lidded Biscuit Barrel

Waterford lead crystal lidded biscuit barrel or ginger jar in the Lucerne pattern. The vessel features a globular form decorated with deep hand-cut mitre cuts in a repeating leaf motif. The jar has a short, flared rim with notched vertical cuts. The coordinating flat circular lid features a faceted diamond-shaped finial and a radiating 16-point star cut on the underside. The base is finished with a matching 16-point radial star cut. The base bears a faint acid-etched mark arranged in a slight arc reading WATERFORD.
