Waves of the Rising Sun - Upholstery fabric - 3 m - 2.8 m

This elegant cotton upholstery fabric features a motif inspired by Japanese decorative art, where the harmonious movement of the sea becomes the protagonist of a refined and timeless graphic composition. The design is built on a rhythmic sequence of stylized waves that chase each other to infinity, creating an abstract yet highly evocative marine landscape. The waves are depicted with soft lines and delicate details reminiscent of traditional Japanese woodblock prints. The foamy crests, drawn with small curls and shading, contrast with the broad curves of the deeper waves. Among them, semicircular terracotta-colored shapes are inserted, recalling the sun on the horizon or stylized hills, creating visual balance between water and light. The color palette combines deep blues and grays with warm terracotta orange nuances on a light, natural background. This contrast gives the fabric a sophisticated yet relaxing character, evoking harmony between natural elements. Made in high-quality upholstery cotton, this fabric features a sturdy, tight weave that makes it suitable for both decorative projects and everyday use. The cotton provides a pleasant natural feel to the touch and enhances the sharpness of the lines and graphical details of the pattern. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification attests that the fabric has been tested for the absence of harmful substances, ensuring safety, quality, and health respect in domestic environments. Thanks to its elegant and rhythmic design, this fabric is perfect for upholstering armchairs, chairs, or small sofas, giving furniture a refined and contemporary character. It is also ideal for decorative cushions that bring a calm and harmonious atmosphere to interiors. It is also suitable for creating lightweight curtains, decorative panels, or upholstered headboards, and is particularly suitable for minimalist environments, modern interiors, spaces inspired by Japanese style, or furnishings seeking a balance between nature and design. The stylized waves motif is very widespread in traditional Japanese art and is known by the name Seigaiha, meaning blue sea waves. This motif was already used in fabrics and ceramics of ancient Japan as a symbol of peace, continuity, and prosperity. The waves that follow one another without end indeed represent the eternal flow of the sea and of life, a concept deeply rooted in Japanese culture and often used to bring harmony and good omen to domestic spaces. Care and Maintenance: To preserve the beauty and quality of your precious fabric over time, it is important to follow some simple care instructions: Washing: It is recommended to wash the fabric by hand or in a delicate cycle at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Use a mild detergent free of strong bleaches to preserve vibrant colors. Drying: Avoid the dryer to prevent compromising the fibers. Dry the fabric in the open air, avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure, which could fade colors. Ironing: Iron the fabric at low temperature, preferably with a cotton cloth over it, to avoid direct contact with the iron and keep the surface of the fabric impeccable. Professional cleaning: If used for upholstering furniture or large surfaces, professional dry cleaning is recommended for safer and longer-lasting maintenance. By following these simple guidelines, your fabric will maintain its splendor and integrity over time, continuing to enhance your interiors with class and refinement. Fabric
