This Wedgwood creamware pitcher, dating to circa 1860, is designed in the helmet form with an elongated ovoid body, a widely flared pouring lip, and a high-looped scrolled handle. The vessel is elevated on a circular pedestal foot. It features blue transfer-printed decoration in a grapevine motif, showcasing clusters of grapes and detailed foliage wrapping around the upper body. A coordinating geometric and floral lace-style border is printed along the interior of the rim. The base contains a WEDGWOOD backstamp and handwritten paper label identifying the maker as WEDGWOOD.
