West German mid-century modern lot featuring a Wilhelm Kagel (Garmisch) ceramic pitcher and a large hand-decorated enameled copper bowl. The earthenware pitcher featuring alternating vertical stripes of matte black and textured sienna-brown glazes with a pinched spout and integrated strap handle. The underside of the pitcher features a hand-painted black script mark Made in West-Germany, with an additional ingraved WK. The circular enameled copper plate features a vibrant, turquoise-colored crackle ground decorated with a stylized modernist figure in purple, lime green, orange, and navy-blue impasto enamel, framed by a wreath of metallic gold and copper toned leaves. The reverse of the plate is finished in plain, turquoise-colored enamel with an exposed, patinated circular copper base.
