Collection of Esther Shaver, Beaufort, SC Description: William Parish (RI/MA/CA, 1862-1949), Seascape, Watercolor, pencil signed lower right, depicting coastal seascape with waves crushing onto a sandy shoreline, in a giltwood frame with mat. Frame size: 17 3/8 in. x 27 5/8 in. William Dana Parish was born in Rhode Island in 1862. Parish studied at Académie Julian in Paris. He then established a studio home on Cape Cod where he painted during the 1920s and 1930s. In 1937 he moved to San Diego, California and lived there until his death in 1949.Measurements: Height: by sight 10 1/4 in. x Width: 20 1/2 in. Condition: Overall good condition, not viewed out of frame.
