Yellow Gold Belt Ring with Vintage Diamond from Our Workshop

In many ancient myths, a belt protects its wearer and endows them with magical abilities. The Germanic god of thunder Thor, for example, had a belt of strength that doubled his power, and the dwarf king Laurin also gained the strength of twelve men through a belt. Aphrodite's magical belt was interwoven with all the delights and allurements of love, and the queen of the Amazons wore a belt given to her by Mars, the god of war, as proof of her status as a warrior. Apparently, more importance was always attached to this special piece of clothing, which can both bind and protect, which gives strength and is itself strong, than to other items of clothing. But a belt made of solid gold? That would probably be far too heavy. But a small gold belt for the ring finger? That's possible! The goldsmiths of the Victorian era already thought so, and indeed rings in the form of gold belts were very fashionable in Great Britain in the late 19th century. We have always liked rings of this type very much and our goldsmith has therefore redesigned a ring based on the historical model. With an attentive eye for detail, it wraps around the finger as a wide band with a sculpted buckle. At its center, it is also set with a 0.11 ct brilliant-cut diamond - a sparkling reference to the eternity of protection and love. We have produced this ring in a small edition. It is available in different colors, in yellow gold, as here, in rose gold and in platinum. All rings feature a vintage diamond, which is used here in a second application. The gold and platinum are also recycled to make the ring as sustainable as possible. The ring was made entirely in Germany, here in Berlin and in Rhineland-Palatinate. The diamonds may differ slightly from one another. However, they always create a harmonious overall impression.
