With the invite “Online only, with global bidding,” Harrington’s – based in Vaughan near Toronto – is welcoming bidders from around the world to its forthcoming Fine Jewellery Auction which begins on 16 October at 11 a.m. local time (4 p.m. BST).

Since 2005, Harrington’s Auctioneers & Appraisers has been a trusted and knowledgeable destination for the appraisal and auction of jewellery and watches, coins and banknotes, as well as art, antiques and collectibles. On 16 October, Harrington’s will offer more than 200 lots of antique, contemporary and vintage jewellery, alongside luxury timepieces. Pieces by renowned makers including Chopard, Rolex, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, David Yurman, Cartier, Bvlgari and Dior will come under the hammer – many without a reserve.

With no further adieu, let’s take a closer look at six highlights from the sale.

Cartier, pendant with chain, 18K white gold with diamonds. Photo © Harrington’s Auctioneers & Appraisers

Our first highlight comes from Cartier’s popular LOVE collection. Crafted in 18-carat white gold, this pendant is densely set with white diamonds. The setting resembles cobblestones, which is reflected in its name: pavé, French for paving stone or cobblestone. Interspersed throughout its brilliant, diamond-paved surface is a circular, clear accent that subtly evokes the iconic screw motifs characteristic of the LOVE line.

Another pendant that stands out for its use of transparency is the Moon & Stars piece from Chopard’s Happy Diamonds collection. Here, diamonds meet 18-carat yellow gold, adorning both the outer ring and the moon and star elements; true to the collection’s signature style, these elements move freely within the pendant, adding a playful touch to the elegant piece.

Tiffany & Co. is particularly well-represented in the auction with nearly 50 lots, including this 18-carat yellow gold necklace featuring the iconic "Smile" design. Launched in 2014, the T Smile collection is a variation of the T collection, which debuted that same year. It’s sure to put a smile on your face!

Another highlight for the neck and décolleté is this extraordinary necklace, featuring a leaf design that is perfect for the autumn season. Crafted from 14-carat white gold, the leaves are set with 297 round brilliant-cut diamonds, boasting a combined weight of nearly 4 carats.

Those who prefer a splash of color will also find something to their liking in the selection – including, this enchanting yellow gold bracelet featuring three rows of oval, multi-colored sapphires with a combined weight of approximately 21.03 carats. This lavish array of gemstones is complemented by 72 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling approximately 1.48 carats.

Finally, the auction’s luxurious timepieces certainly deserve a mention. Lots on offer include diamond-set creations by Jonathan Arnot, an elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre wristwatch with a yellow gold "Tank" case, and two vintage treasures from Rolex: a "Bubble Back" (Ref. 3131) and a "Ladies Orchid." While the Ref. 3131 was produced between 1936 and 1948, Rolex introduced its "Orchid" models between the 1950s and 1970s.

Also worthy of note is this ladies' watch from the American manufacturer Waltham. The manual-wind watch likely dates back to the 1920s or 1930s and features a diamond-set white gold case and a bracelet made of diamonds and pearls.

In addition to necklaces, bracelets, and watches, the selection includes rings, earrings, and brooches.

Harrington’s online-only jewellery and watch auction begins on 16 October at 11:00 a.m. local time (4:00 p.m. BST). Take this opportunity to browse the catalogue and discover your new favorite piece! To place a bid, please register via Harrington’s website.
