On 24 August, Julien's Auctions is hosting their Summer Entertainment Auction, featuring memorabilia, photographs, collectables and more from some of the world's most famous figures, including The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Wentworth Miller and Princess Diana. A collection of the late Princess' personal effects highlight the sale. Here are the top lots:

The Princess of Wales was known for her impeccable fashion sense and, to this day, remains the most photographed woman in history. She was equally renowned for her tireless humanitarian efforts. One of her handbags, a silver-toned evening purse embellished with iridescent crystals, is headed to auction.

The purse has a 'Diana Spencer' label sewn within and is accompanied by a handwritten card that reads 'Thank you for your support! Diana 1997,' an envelope with her coat of arms, and a copy of a letter dated 3 February 1997. The letter, addressed to her friend Angela, states that she enjoyed working alongside her with the homeless and was sending a few items for her charity dinner and auction to help with the proceeds.

Diana also sent these sterling silver cufflinks for the auction with 'D' engraved.

This hardcover elephant folio volume of the Christie's auction catalogue features 80 illustrated dresses from the collection of Princess Diana that were sold by the auction house on 25 June 1997, just two months before her tragic death. The catalogue is signed "Diana" in black marker pen and numbered 133/250. The auction raised $3.25 million for 79 cocktail and evening dresses owned by the Princess.

This white and gold enamel bangle with a floral design was gifted by Princess Diana to Sarah Jane Gaselee, her good friend and one of her bridesmaids. It is accompanied by a handwritten note that reads "Sarah Jane, Much love, Diana."

In her interview with OK! magazine published on 8 September 2000, Gaselee states, "In her bathroom she had a lot of enamelled bracelets and each time I visited she would give me one. I was so thrilled to have some grown up jewellery."

This miniature 'Common Prayer Hymns A&M' book was gifted to Princess Diana by her grandmother and signed within "Diana Spencer 1973". It is accompanied by a copy of a letter from Diana to Mary on 15 June 1997, stating that she would like to donate her personal items to Mary's fundraising auction, with a list of 20 items. The prayer book is listed as number 19: "small bible (from 'Granny')".

Here is a collection of three medium-format colour transparency press photographs featuring Lady Diana (later Princess Diana) and Prince Charles, circa 1981. Two of the photos were taken by Antony Armstrong Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon.

The BBC produced the single reel magnetic tape recording of the most famous royal wedding in history between Prince Charles and Princess Diana in July 1981. This tape is accompanied by three CDs containing the transferred recording.
