Aston Martins, nicknamed "the English Ferraris" by some, are loved by many sports car enthusiasts. Among their models, the DB5 plays an honourable role among fans of the legendary James Bond, since it was the car of the secret agent in important films of the saga, starting with Goldfinger (1964). Soon, someone may become the owner of a 1964 DB5 that belonged to the man behind the original James Bond, Sean Connery.

The prestigious car will go on sale by the actor's heirs on August 18 through the Broad Arrow Auction at Monterey Jet Center, California. The estimate is between £1.1-1.4 million, and a large part of the proceeds will be donated to charity. In 2019, a DB5 made for James Bond film marketing sold for £5 million.

Sean Connery's DB5 appears to be in excellent condition. Originally black, the car was then painted with the well-known Snow Shadow Gray colour. To make the sale even more special, Formula 1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart, a great friend of Connery, has promised to take the buyer for a drive after the auction ends.
